On October 1, 2024, the Crossborder Startup Point project organized an inspiring Coworking Spacetour, offering Czech coworking centers, local action groups, and enthusiasts with a vision to create their own coworking space a unique opportunity to explore the operations of successful coworking centers in Upper Austria.
The main goal of the event was to demonstrate how well coworking centers of various sizes and types can function. Participants visited three inspiring spaces – 2kanter CO | WORKING | STUDIO, Tabakfabrik – Factory 300, and Granitlab – where they met with local leaders of innovative entrepreneurship. They gained valuable insights into how these centers not only provide workspace but also play a key role in the development of the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During the visits, it was emphasized that coworking centers are not just about renting a desk, having a copier, and good coffee. They are becoming an essential part of the community, especially for early-stage entrepreneurs. The owners and operators of these centers are not just managers – they are passionate individuals with a vision for regional development. Thanks to their efforts, young people are returning from big cities to their home regions, and more and more remote workers are choosing coworking for its creative and motivational atmosphere.
The Crossborder Startup Point project focuses on building a network of comprehensive services for aspiring entrepreneurs, and events like this strengthen interregional cooperation and inspire the creation of new coworking spaces in the Czech Republic.
